I've always wanted to visit Bolinao. So when the opportunity came when one of my classmates told me that they had a resort there, I did not think twice.

If you google Bolinao, you will see pictures of Treasures of Bolinao (the name of the resort).

But let me tour your around the other side of the beach.

Unlike other beaches that I have been to, the beachfront resorts of the Patar beach are mostly kubos (nipa hut).

It's a one to two kilometer stretch of kubo resorts.

If you're a big fan of living the provincial lifestyle, this is a great place for you. In my case, I'm a big fan of eating food kamayan-style.

Ung tipong kakain ka ng danggit na may suka gamit lang kamay mo! Sarap!!

It's weird though, since I only saw two small souvenir shops around the area.

If you're not a fan of sleeping in kubos, there are also 4 to 5 star beachfront hotels/resorts around the area. Nonetheless, the beach where they are located is not ideal for swimming or snorkeling.

Luckily, at the very far end of the beach is newly developed resort called G Beach Resort. The beach there was uncrowded and with stunning rock formations.  Only few people get to go here. Honestly, the beach  here is better than Boracay.

Notice how pristine the waters are? Dito masarap mag-emo, maglabas ng hugot, or just simply to relax, read your bible and marvel at the beauty of God's creations.  Hahahaha:)

We also visited Bolinao Falls. Similar to Hidden Valley Springs in Laguna, Bolinao Falls is a waterfall within a waterfall. Falls-ception!

Hidden Valley Springs costs around 2,000 pesos per person for a day tour. Bolinao Falls just costs around 50 pesos per person. The water's quite deep though.

Rough road nga lang papunta sa falls. So after awhile, we just decided to walk! Hahah!!

There's also a great cave called Enchanted Cave on the way to Patar Beach. You can swim inside the cave. And the water there is really clear. I don't know how to describe how clear the water is. Ung tipong alam mong nararamdaman nakalublob ka sa tubig pero di mo nakikita ka nanakalublob ka dahil sobrang klaro ng tubig.

My description and the pictures below of how clear the water do not give justice. It's a must that you experience it yourself.

Ay wala pala kaming masyadong magagandang pictures sa cave. Madilim kasi!

Lastly, here are some amazing landscapes on the way to Patar Beach.
