I grew up in Baguio. So when someone says, "Tara Baguio tayo", I usually say no.
But when my friends say, "Rexcel, nasa Baguio kami. Nandito ka rin ba", I tour them around to a few unusual and unknown places.
So before I start posting the pictures, here are the common tourist spots in Baguio if you we wish to visit my homeland.
- Camp John Hay
- Mines View
- Wright Park /Ketchup Community
- Mansion
- La Trinidad (Strawberry Farm)
- La Presa
- Burnham Park
- PMA Grounds
But for those who loves a real adrenaline rush, why don't you try the Tree top Adventure. You'll be falling from 60 feet above the ground with just a helmet...and in case the rope snaps..there's no guarantee that you'll still be alive..hahahah :))
Trust me...once you tried the 60 feet free fall from the tree top...the other rides won't be that exciting anymore....so i suggest do the free fall ride last..
FOOD
Baguio is good place for foodies. Andi wanted to try Cafe by the ruins, so we proceeded there
(Girls are always right, dba?)
My honest opinion later after the pictures..hahah
Alright, here's my honest opinion:
Cafe by the Ruins is not that special. It's just your ordinary typical Baguio/Filipino food. Nasanay na siguro ako sa Baguio food kaya para sa akin di special..hahaha!
Anyway, the reason why this gets alot of attention from the media is because the owners and their siblings are journalists. (that's some fact you didn't know')
So where do we go for food?
KAMAYAN SA BAGUIO!!
Only a few go here since the place is hidden. But once you find this place, you'll be rewarded with a cozy and somewhat romantic interior. Did I mention the view? You'll overlooking on top of a mountain; plus a satisfying buffet!
You can see the menu here.
And their desserts here.
Ben Cab Museum.
Please explain this art!
Great view, though...
Are there other places that I recommend in Baguio?
Go to Tam-awan Village if you're in for a cultural experience.
And if you're a foodie like me, my family usually eats at Chaya at Legarda Road where we can make your own sushi roll. I often see my high school friends eat there!! (palibhasa sawa na rin sila sa Baguio...hahaha)
