Going to Baler takes 5-6 hours from Manila. But I suggest you visit the place during off-peak season and preferably on weekdays.
We went to Baler before it was advertised by Kris on Kris TV and the place was really really fantastic. I went there the second time and guess what? ANG DAMING TAO!! AT MAY ENTRANCE FEES NA LAHAT NG PUPUNTAHAN!
Although the trip takes 5-6 hours. You won't get bored for the last 3 hours because of the
amazing view of Sierra Madre.
They say that this is the largest tree in Asia living up to 300 years old!
Although, there are many beachfront resorts in Baler. Costa Pacifica is the famous one because of its amenities and of course the beautiful facade. We did not stay here due to our limited budget!!
Pero di kami naglabas ng mga aming hugot. It's a good place to unwind late at night! What (#mgahugotnakuwento) stays in Baler stays in Baler! hahahah
And of course, surfing!
Look, Ma! I'm fishing!
Below is the house of Dona Aurora, wife of the former President Manuel L. Quezon.
Important: When the Filipinos have finally sought independence from the Spaniards; the Spaniards living in Spain did not believe that the Filipinos were truly free. The Filipino soldiers in Baler then attacked the Spaniards until they were locked inside a church. The Spaniards who sought refuge inside the church stayed there for a year until there were only 8 survivors when they finally surrendered to the Filipinos.
